How does GigsHarbor work?

GigsHarbor connects Clients and Freelancers in one marketplace for finding Projects, communicating, managing work, and handling payments.

A Client publishes a Project, discusses the details with Freelancers, and selects a Freelancer. Once the scope, price, and timeframe are agreed, the Client allocates the agreed amount from their Wallet to the Project.

The Freelancer completes and submits the work for review. Once the Client approves it, the funds are released to the Freelancer’s Earnings balance.

What are the requirements to join GigsHarbor?

Clients and Freelancers must be at least 18 years old and provide their real First Name and Last Name when creating an account.

How do I get verified?

Every Freelancer is manually reviewed before approval. We verify their identity and review their profile, relevant documents and portfolio.

Why are funds held before release?

Funds allocated to a Project are held until the Client approves the submitted work or a dispute is resolved. This helps protect both Clients and Freelancers throughout the Project.

How do withdrawals work?

Once funds have been released to the Freelancer’s Earnings balance, the Freelancer can submit a withdrawal request.

Withdrawal requests are typically reviewed and processed within 2–5 business days. This time may be required for internal processing, identity verification, security checks, and other applicable compliance procedures.

What happens if there is a dispute?

Either the Client or Freelancer can raise a dispute if there is an issue with the Project. GigsHarbor reviews the Project details, communications, submitted work, and other relevant information before determining how the funds should be handled.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds may be available in certain cases, including non-delivery, duplicate payments, or a material failure to meet the agreed Project requirements. Each request is reviewed individually.

Are there Platform fees?

GigsHarbor charges a 1% service fee on the total Project price, deducted from the funds released to the Freelancer’s Earnings balance.

GigsHarbor does not charge separate transaction or withdrawal fees.

What are Cookies?

Cookies help GigsHarbor maintain sessions, remember preferences, improve functionality and security, and understand how the Platform is used. You can manage them through the Platform or your browser settings.
